Nice try, but I think there’s a few things you can do to improve:
1) Write a basic script/outline! This will help the podcast flow and you (hopefully) won’t forget what you’re talking about. Honestly, it just sounds like a random conversation on the way home. Or maybe you DID have a script but it flew out the window just as you pressed the record button…
2) Use MP3 instead of… a video of random pictures? How can anyone listen to this on their MP3 PLAYER if it’s not in an audio format?
3) Be direct and concise. From what I can tell you hardly even talk about the film at all, and if this isn’t a podcast about films, what is it about? You need your listeners to know this. Try to make the humour more closely related to the main topic, to keep it more relevant if anything.
4) Edit before release. Although you mentioned editing parts of the podcast within the podcast, it doesn’t actually sound like you did due to the fact it’s still in there! Get rid of any awkward moments and imperfections. Also, why not add a little theme music? At least an ‘intro’ to grab the listener’s attention.
5) Get rid of the car. A lot of people listen to podcasts to drown out the background noises, not add to them. Does a car engine sound professional to you? IF that is what you’re going for.
Good luck!
p.s. LOVING Frosty’s Reviews, keep them coming!

Hey Smoke.Drink!
Thanks for your feedback! Always appreciate it!
I can answer some of your queries if you like. This podcast is completely different from another podcast I do called The Sam & Dave Show which has pretty much everything mentioned in your comment. The Pod-Car-st is designed to be completely different though.
1) It doesn’t have a script/outline because each time it will be a different length, and we don’t know how long the episodes are going to be. Although at the end of each episode we will discuss what we’ve learned.
2) Working on getting an mp3 version available somewhere but more importantly, we’re going to try and get it up on iTunes too. So that will come. But at least it’s up somewhere at the mo, even if it is in video.
3) The podcarst isn’t really about the film, it was just something to mention really and a title for this episode. It’s like a very very loose subject. The show doesn’t really have any rules or boundries and we just literally talk bollocks for x minutes while hopefully being randomly entertaining. It’s not for everyone I know.
4) I know the bit you’re referring too but we thought it’d be funnier if we left it in. The podcast will have very little editing because we want it to be as natural as possible. We wanted to share with people what me and rob normally talk about during a car journey. Although I will put in a title tune and an end tune next time
5) The car is part of the novelty much like with the Cobra Beer Pubcast, where the background noise of the pub can be heard. The advantage is we know when to start and where to stop as well as having people come in and out of the podcarst mid-episode when we pick people up for example. Again it’s not for everyone, but I don’t think it’s too loud. If it does become an apparent problem, if have a few ideas of how to get round it.
Oh and there will be a new Frosty’s Reviews coming soon, but it will be the last one on facebook statuses for a while. The Frosty’s review thing will still keep going though but just going to focus some other subjects for a while. I will come back to the statuses at some point though! Stay tuned!

Hi there. At the moment this podcarst thing is a work in progress. As the weeks go by it will become much tighter and less rambling. I hope you enjoyed it and log on next week!
